Our Story
How We Met
On May 16th, 2019, I went to work like any other Cast Member. On this day, I helped new hires schedule their onboarding paperwork and “Traditions” class. I had no idea I would be speaking to my now-fiancé. Eric was just like every other new hire, excited and filled with lots of questions. Nothing happened. It was just another day at work for me.
Months later, our paths crossed again. (He had no idea that we had spoken on the phone before, and neither did I.) God intervened, and I agreed to go on a date at Epcot. My co-workers and best friend were key in all this, but how? They picked out my outfit and waited up for me to get home post date. And I couldn’t believe after so many seasons of waiting, it’s all true.. when you know, you really know. And I knew on that second date at Magic Kingdom, I really had found someone special. Then, I was really stuck with him… through months of quarantine… because my world shut down ( Disney World that is). And here he was; supporting me, encouraging me, loving me… for who I am.

How They Asked
So here it is, the fairytale from yours truly. Eric and I had always planned to celebrate our year anniversary at Magic Kingdom ( where else? 🤣). I thought we would just be enjoying a day at the park with lunch reservations at Be Our Guest ( hence the Disneybound). Meanwhile, my best friend and Eric crafted the perfect proposal. Jessica Wilson created a surprise scavenger hunt that sent us ALL over the park. Every clue was related to a memory of our relationship, I mean we spend A LOT of time in the parks. This scavenger hunt kept me busy until it was time for my second surprise. Eric had book a “Capture the Moment” photo session with Disney PhotoPass Service. Me, thinking, he knows I love photos and what a great day to take them in such cute outfits. Our photographers, Brie and Luis, were wonderful and led us to several locations, taking the most gorgeous photos.
Our last location was Cinderella’s wishing well ( a FAVORITE of mine)! Brie had me do some shots alone peeking into the well when I turned around and there was my prince on one knee… oh and Jessica who appeared out of NOWHERE.
I’m not sure I have ever felt as happy as I do right now, and I can’t thank Eric, Jessica, or the Most Magical Place on Earth enough.
